Statement from MHP’s Co-Ceos on Coronavirus Response | March 13, 2020

Dear valued community partners –

We understand the growing concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and its impact on public health, daily lives, and access to mental health and addiction recovery services. Mental Health Partners (MHP) is committed to ensuring the continuity of our essential services while also safeguarding the health of our staff, our clients, and our community.  To provide direct and supportive information to our staff, we have established an internal COVID-19 Response Team composed of leaders from various areas of our organization.


In alignment with CO Department of Health’s recommendations to limit potential exposure and/or spread of the virus, we have taken the following preventative steps to promote social distancing:

  • Monday March 16th, 2020 all scheduled appointments will continue for all staff and clients not exhibiting symptoms or having known exposure.
  • Effective Tuesday March 17, 2020, we will implement new policies regarding which teams will be providing care in our facilities and which teams are providing care remotely.
  • All client groups are temporarily suspended.
  • We will move to telephone and telehealth service delivery options where possible.  This means that certain teams will begin to deliver care remotely while other 24/7 teams and critical onsite services will continue as normal.
  • Though our 24/7 Walk-In Center at 3180 Airport Rd., Boulder, CO remains open, though we encourage community members to call 1 (844) 493-TALK (8255) or text TALK to 38255 to receive mental health crisis support  if they are experiencing symptoms or are sick.


With any fast-moving crisis, collaboration and communication is key. MHP representatives have joined county-wide COVID-19-specific safety/communication committees led by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Boulder County Public Health, Office of Emergency Management and other agencies. We are grateful for the guidance provided to us by these partners, as well as the collaborative spirit of our fellow community leaders. By working together, we can all better monitor the situation, receive updates in a timely fashion and share important information with our clients, staff and community.

In times of crisis and uncertainly, we understand anxiety can increase significantly. We encourage you to take care of yourself, and your family, and practice coping and self-care tactics.
