Virtual Candidates’ Forum on Behavioral Health

This event has expired

Mental Health Partners and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Boulder County are hosting a virtual candidate forum for local State House and Senate candidates in the upcoming November elections. Join us on Tuesday, October 4th from 6:00 to 7:45pm as we ask candidates questions such as:
  • What are your priorities and perspectives on this broad topic?
  • What do you see as barriers?
  • How will you help improve access, equity and affordability?
Mental illness and substance use are entwined into many aspects of a community’s wellbeing: social, economic, environmental, cultural, and political. While often not apparent, they affect discussions and decisions about housing, employment, public safety, education/schools, equity and more. During the 2022 legislative session, nearly 50 bills related to mental illness were introduced. We anticipate that this will continue to be a priority in 2023.
Register to attend this free forum by Friday, September 30th.
