Mental Health Partners charges a small fee per person for each of our trainings available to the community. This fee covers the cost of participant materials and trainer time. Cost should not be a barrier to any community member seeking to learn these valuable skills. Thanks to generous donations, scholarships can be made available as needed. Kid Connects: Circle of Security Parenting Classroom Approach

Length of Course: (3) 1-hour sessions | Cost: FREE | Virtual (Zoom)

This series will help educators unpack challenging behaviors to better understand the needs of the child, while also increasing their ability to reflect on their own process when encountering challenges in the classroom.

Circle of Security Parenting Classroom Approach is an evidence-based program designed to enhance educator’s ability to form secure relationships and offers critical organizing principles from attachment theory to improve teacher confidence and competence in relationship building.

Kid Connects: Grandparent Support

Length of Course: 90 minutes | Cost: FREE | Virtual (Zoom)

Kid Connects in the Neighborhood recognizes that grandparents play an essential role in the lives of young children. We want to update you on the latest research of child development and give strategies to ensure that you feel confident in providing quality of care to your grandchild.

If you are a grandparent providing care for a child, you are welcome to join our three-part series. This training is based on the evidence-based curriculum, Grand Connections, developed by Zero to Three.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)

Length of Course: 90 minutes | Cost: $10 | Course Location: Virtual Delivery

This concise but informative course teaches individuals to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

SafeTALK

Length of Course: 4 hours | Cost: $40 | Course Location: In-Person Delivery at MHP Site

In this course, individuals learn valuable intervention resources and tools to identify and avert suicide risks.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Length of Course: (1) 8-hour day | Cost: $45 | Course Location: In-Person Delivery at MHP Site

Similar to how a person learns “first aid” to help those in a medical crisis, this course is designed to teach individuals how to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a groundbreaking, internationally recognized evidence-based training program committed to empowering individuals to identify, understand and respond to those in mental health and substance abuse crisis.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Length of Course: (2) 8-hour days | Cost: $220 | Course Location: In-Person Delivery at MHP Site (Lunch included)

This interactive workshop teaches participants to recognize when someone may be having thoughts of suicide and works with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety.
