October 8-17, 2019
This past summer, Moving Beyond Trauma (MBT): Healing Mind, Body and Spirit, Mental Health Partners’ (MHP) trauma focused therapy program, completed a full renovation of its Center of Excellence thanks to a $250,000 capital improvement grant from the Denver Foundation’s Colorado Health Access Fund. The renovated office includes separate waiting rooms for adults and children; features a large, interactive art piece designed by a local artist; a therapeutic playroom; calming therapy offices; a spacious group room; a virtual reality room; a quiet room for clients; and the Heart-Center Yoga Studio.
“The need in our community for trauma-focused treatment is significant and increasing every day. Studies have shown that unresolved and untreated traumatic stress can lead to a host of mental health issues, most often including anxiety and depression,” said Dr. Janine D’Anniballe, Director of Trauma Services at MHP. “Our Center of Excellence provides a welcoming space in the heart of Boulder County where individuals and families can access compassionate, expert and supportive trauma treatment.” During October 8 -17, 2019, MBT is celebrating this newly renovated space through a series of grand opening events. All events will take place at 1455 Dixon Ave, Suite 210 in Lafayette, CO, and are free open to the public:
