Mental Health Partners (MHP) is grateful to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for including us in Justice Intervention: Bringing Services to Scale, the latest episode in their SAMHSA Road to Recovery program documentary series. This series explores what services are critical to include in justice intervention, namely: treatment and recovery efforts for people in criminal and juvenile justice systems with mental and substance use disorders; family involvement; recovery support; peer counseling by people who have successfully completed drug court; problem solving court programs; and, education and training for those returning home. Panelists discuss new programs to help people before incarceration, interventions for at-risk populations, and how to improve the juvenile justice system to ensure the provision of appropriate support.

In the clip above, MHP staff members Matthew Jaeckel and Maigan Oliver, along with two MHP clients discuss, MHP’s PACE and EDGE programs. The full documentary is just under an hour long and can be found here: https://recoverymonth.gov/road-to-recovery/media-series/july-2018-justice-intervention-bringing-services-scale.
