Dear Community Partners
To Our Valued Community Partners
An Annual Report provides us with a time to pause in reflection, which is especially important after a year of constant action in response to local, national, and international crises all set on the stage of a global pandemic. One thing our reflections have made abundantly clear is the strength, tenacity, and adaptability that resonates within our staff.
In the face of so much fear and uncertainty due to COVID-19, mounting social justice incidents, senseless acts of violence, natural disasters, and more, it would have been understandable if we had chosen to ride out these crises with minimal involvement and remain insulated to our clients and community.
- Instead, we embraced our mission even more fiercely as the mental health and addiction recovery provider for Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
- Instead, we found ways to continue providing our clients and community with care.
- Instead, we reached out to the most vulnerable populations.
- Instead, we, collectively, chose action and connection.
As we look back upon the goals we outlined for this year, it is clear these choices enabled us to reach them, despite these unprecedented times. Goals reached include, but are not limited to:
- Providing continuity of care and updated information to our clients through new initiatives, technological advancements, enhanced safety precautions, and timely communication.
- Investing in an organization-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion journey.
- Renewing our focus on strategy, goals, vision, and partnerships to safeguard the organization’s stability.
- Offering supportive resources and trainings on timely topics and issues to our staff.
- Meeting our fundraising goals for the year’s key philanthropic efforts.
- Designing and opening a new facility for care in Broomfield.
- Responding to the Table Mesa incident with immediacy and with long-term support at the #BoulderStrong Resource Center.
It has been a privilege and honor to witness this collaboration, encouragement, and important work our staff carry out each day in the most stressful and taxing of times. We look forward to continued collective action and to another year, together!
