Medication Assisted Therapy

Opioid and Alcohol Addiction Recovery

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) can help decrease cravings and prevent relapse for both opioid and alcohol dependence. Mental Health Partners offers a variety of diverse MAT options, including our Vivitrol and Suboxone programs. We are happy to partner with you in getting the help and support you need to move toward a happier and more productive life. Please explore this brochure to learn more.

Is Vivitrol Right for Me?

This extended-release medication is given by injection every 28 days. Vivitrol has been shown to have a positive impact on an individual’s journey of addiction recovery. Intensive case management, individual therapy, group therapy and relapse prevention are all provided in conjunction with the Vivitrol shot to bolster results.

Clients are required to complete an intake assessment prior to their first Vivitrol dose.

How Can Suboxone Help Me?

Suboxone is a prescription medication that is used to treat adults who are dependent on opioids. Suboxone controls withdrawal symptoms and cravings, while blocking the effects of opioids. This medication should be included in a complete treatment plan including counseling, intensive case management, relapse prevention, and support groups. Suboxone contains buprenorphine and naloxone. We also offer Sublocade, a monthly injectable extended release form of buprenorphine.

These treatments are most effective when combined with other support services. Your first dose (induction) will be administered after you have completed your intake assessment.

Full Spectrum Services

Mental Health Partners offers a full spectrum of substance abuse treatment services for our clients based upon individual needs as assessed through comprehensive evaluations at admission and throughout participation in our program.

Time to Heal

Our nation faces an increasing drug abuse epidemic that cannot be curbed as people who struggle with addiction are unable to get access to the help that they need. Of the tens of millions of Americans who are in need of substance abuse help, just 10 percent are currently receiving treatment.

We Have Options

Unfortunately, some of the individuals who need help in Boulder County are unable to locate a substance abuse center that feels like a good fit. At Mental Health Partners, our wide range of treatment options ensure that our patients receive help that is responsive to their specific mental, physical and spiritual needs.
