MHP’s Statement on Coronavirus and Impact on Services, Operations

Mental Health Partners (MHP) acknowledges our clients and community members may be experiencing increased anxiety about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it may potentially impact MHP’s services, operations and locations. Because we are committed to ensuring our clients and community receive appropriate and timely information about this situation, MHP has formed an internal workgroup to address the issue, as well as joined with agencies across Boulder County to discuss and distribute the latest information.

At this time, there are no modifications to MHP’s services, daily operations or locations. MHP will alert clients and community members if this changes. MHP has, however, enhanced the cleaning at our locations to help minimize the risk of Coronavirus exposure.

In alignment with CO Department of Health’s recommendations to limit potential exposure and/or spread of the virus, MHP is asking clients who are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (i.e. especially a fever, cough or shortness of breath) to stay home and reschedule their appointments by calling (303) 443-8500. For clients who feel rescheduling is not a possibility, please let a member of our CARE team know this when you call and h/she will help find an alternative option.

If clients are experiencing an emergency mental health crisis and are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (i.e. especially a fever, cough or shortness of breath), please do not go to our 24/7 Walk-In Center at 3180 Airport Rd., Boulder, CO.  Instead, call 1 (844) 493-TALK (8255) or text TALK to 38255 to receive mental health crisis support.

We encourage clients and community members to continue to practice everyday wellness tips, such as cleaning hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub; covering your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing; avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms and get an annual flu vaccine if you have not had one.

For more information about the Coronavirus, visit Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. Community members can also call CO-Help at 303-389-1687 or 1-877-462-2911 or email COHELP@RMPDC.org, for answers in English and Spanish.

Any updates or additional information that affects MHP’s services, hours of operation, etc. will be posted on our website (www.mhpcolorado.org) and social media (Facebook: @MentalHealthPartnersCO  | Twitter: @MentalHealthCO).
