Scott Ryder
Scott has worked in the mental health field since 1980 when he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology. He has graduate work experience in Buddhist and western psychology, as well as a master's degree in counseling psychology and counseling education with an emphasis in family therapy. Scott has worked with all ages and types of clients – children, adolescents, adults, couples, older adults, and families – and issues ranging from anxiety/depression to chronic mental health issues. He is trained in a variety of therapy models and mostly works eclectically to match the uniqueness of clients and their situations. Scott has also worked in many different work environments, such as inpatient hospitals for adolescents, day treatment for elementary, middle, and high school students with social/emotional high needs, and outpatient. Scott is avid about camping and hiking with friends and family, and he enjoys fly fishing, 'jeepin', playing pool, and reading science fiction/fantasy.
